We would like to thank all those who voted for us on 5th May.
It was very tense at the count and with the recount that took place the results were not declared until 5.00am on Friday morning. We are very grateful for the trust you have placed in us It is a privilege to represent you all on Poole Borough Council.
Overall, the Liberal Democrats in Poole bucked the national trend. Not only did they retain all their existing seats but gained the extra one that resulted in the Council becoming a hung council. The political balance is: Conservatives 21 (50%), Liberal Democrats 18 (43%) and Poole People Party 3 (7%).
"This was an excellent performance" said Cllr Mike Brooke," which reflects the all year round work that is the trade mark of Poole's Liberal Democrats. We are delighted to welcome Vikki Slade onto the Council. "
